Assam conducts eChallan live pilot run

A eChallan live pilot run for DTO Kamrup Metro (AS 01) was conducted successfully today. A challan was issued in the office of the Commissioner Transport in the presence of the Commissioner and Transport personnel from DTOs from all over Assam. The fine for the Challan was transacted through credit card. Thereafter, two challans were issued on the road by team of enforcement officers accompanied by NIC personnel.

In his address on the occasion, the Transport Commissioner stated that eChallan for the entire state would be formally launched by the Hon’ble Chief Minister and Hon’ble Transport Minister towards the end of September. He thanked NIC, officials from his own Department, SBI and Mobi Ocean for making the live pilot run a success, and requested NIC to conduct required training programmes in Guwahati for selected personnel from all the DTOs in the run up to the formal inauguration.
